Easy, Inexpensive AND Delicious Homemade Holiday Gift

Easy, Inexpensive AND Delicious Homemade Holiday Gift I wanted to create a homemade gift for the holidays that was delicious and easy to make for a classroom or party. I searched online and found: Yummymummykitchen Check out her recipe, beautiful pictures and printable! Most everything you need to make these chocolate peppermint spoons can be found at the Dollar Store. I purchased the holiday tape from Home Depot. The spoons I used were soup spoons and didn’t fit into my popsicle mold so I poured the melted chocolate into a cupcake pan. Here’s all you need Plastic spoons Plastic cups or holiday mugs Chocolate bits (I used dark chocolate) Candy canes or peppermints Peppermint Flavor Mini…

    Snickerdoodles

I’m back! I spent a week in Charlotte, North Carolina at the most amazing writing workshop. If you’re a writer, I highly recommend Your Best Book through Free Expressions. Silly me, I thought I’d have time to write a post while I was at the workshop. What was I thinking? Every night there was a Craft Chat and even though I didn’t do much chatting – I sat, listened and absorbed until I felt like my head was going to explode. It made me feel like a baking mad scientist adding a secret ingredient. Well, the powdered sugar masked the orange flavor but at least I knew it was in there… Whaahaahaa! Then I got even more creative and decided to add candy corn…

    Pumpkin Bread

PUMPKIN BREAD I’ve been on a mission to actually bake some of the awesome recipes I’m finding on Pinterest. If they’re a success I’m pinning them on my Pinterest Success board. This recipe is definitely going up there! In fact when someone at Eric’s work saw my message on Facebook that I was baking he told Eric he was excited because Eric usually brings my goodies into the office. Well, when Eric tasted the pumpkin bread he threatened to hide the second loaf so he wouldn’t have to share. I then threatened to put a message on Facebook letting his co-workers know he ate their bread. It wouldn’t have been pretty. He begrudgingly took the pumpkin loaf to work. As…

    Fall Recipes

It’s my favorite time of year! Soon I’ll be able to turn off the air-conditioning and open up the house. I have my K-Cup pumpkin spice coffee and hot apple cider. My pumpkin candles are already burning. Now, I just need to find more fall recipes on Pinterest and begin baking and sharing. Meanwhile, here are some blast from the past recipes I love.   Apple Crisp  Pumpkin Pie Bites Pumpkin Bread Pudding Topped With Caramel Halloween Owl Cookies Jalapeño Grilled Cheese Chili Lava Cake Chocolate cake with a candy corn filling
