    Parenting Advice From A Happiness Expert

    I’m reading Shawn Achor’s book: The Happiness Advantage Shawn has an excellent point when he calls attention to the fact that we are programmed to delay happiness until a certain goal is attained but then the bar is always raised higher and another goal is set leaving us to delay happiness once again. As parents we can pass this onto our children in the form grade achievements in school.  A 90 percent  is good but a 99 percent is even better.     How Bed Bugs Taught Me to Face My Fear

    Are you ready to laugh? Picture me balancing on top of my mattress, my head dodging the dangling light from the ceiling, steam cleaner in hand, pulling the trigger sending puffs of hot steam everywhere.     When Inspiration is Lost

    Keeping up with two posts a week can be challenging, especially when I’m working on other projects. Sometimes a numbness takes over. I feel frustration which usually leads to thoughts of giving up. There’s a countdown in my head…two days until my post is due…one day until my post is due… I watch Super Soul Sunday episodes on DVR.
