Five Steps to Meeting Your Goals in 2014

Five Steps to Meeting Your Goals in 2014  December 31st! The very last day of 2013. There’s a certain stress to this day isn’t there? The questions linger. Did I meet my goals for 2013? Did I make the most of every day? What do I need to do better in 2014? I know from the amount of new members at our gym that I’m not the only one feeling as though some changes have to be made in 2014. Here’s how I look at my life. I break it up into categories. Family, Writing, Health and Fitness, Friends, Education, Spirituality, Community Service and Home life.  Home life is everything from laundry to home repairs. Because…

    Homemade New Year’s Cups

Homemade New Year’s Cups Arielle is home from college on winter break which means my house may be filled with her friends at any moment. I love it! They’re used to me searching for blog ideas so when I came downstairs and found them crafting away on their New Year’s cups it wasn’t a surprise when I asked to take pictures. They’re all such good sports. These cups are super easy and super cheap to make. Everything came from Dollar Tree. All you need are plastic cups (any color), candlestick holders, glue, glitter, ribbon, and numbers if you want to add 2014. You can decorate the cup before or after you glue it to…

    How do you celebrate Christmas?

How do you celebrate Christmas? Here’s how we celebrate… You can see from the picture our family doesn’t really put much emphasis on the decorating the tree tradition. We Make Cookies! My favorite are the pizzelles and biscotti. We actually means Eric and Arielle. Kai and I eat them. OK, I eat them. Kai can tell me exactly how many calories are in each one. Stupid internet! We Eat Out! One place Kai doesn’t count calories is his ultimate favorite…

Belize The guys wanted adventure and my friend Elena and I did not so we split up and took two separate tours. The boys went zip lining and cave tubing and the girls went for a leisurely stroll through the Belize Zoo followed by a boat ride. After hearing about their adventure Elena and I loved that we chose to go to the…

Our Cruise on the Norwegian Dawn

Our Cruise on the Norwegian Dawn I’m back from our cruise on the Norwegian Dawn. Who knew cruising could be so much fun? I’ll admit, I was a tad worried. Being aboard a ship for a week and sharing a small stateroom with Eric and Kai made me wonder if all was going to go well. It did! We were hardly ever in our stateroom and every time we were it was clean! Here I was so impressed that my teenage son had taken the time to pull out his sofa bed and organize the sheets only later to discover that it was really, Louis, from the staff coming to make-up our room twice a…
