Great video! I love getting to know both of you through these interviews. Care and concern are universal, it seems… I just learned I’m not the only mom whose instinct was ‘self-defense moves’ at the start of the dating years! Your candor and fabulous senses of humor are like a welcome mat. Thank you for inviting me into your lives for a glimpse of life lived with a disability and parenting a child with a disability. You’ve opened my eyes in the best way! I’d love to hear you talk about questions people have asked both of you–questions you welcomed, questions you found intrusive or hurtful. And questions you wish people would ask!

Thank you, Carol. Arielle and I have had discussions about disability and accessibility for years. Then when we started working on the manuscript together, I realized there was still so much I had to learn about life using a wheelchair. We were hoping these videos would help others get a glimpse into life with a disability. Thank you for letting us know we’ve opened your eyes to something new and thank you for letting us know what you’d like us to discuss in a future video! We were hoping for questions to spark more conversations.
