    Mini Pots of Gold

I found this recipe in a magazine at the supermarket called PIL Cookbooks, Irish Favorites. My original idea was to make brownie bowls and use yellow cake balls for the gold. Then I figured I better stick to the recipe, otherwise I may be up all night baking. Turns out that was a good decision as these pots of gold were super easy and delicious. Teachers – they would be a great treat to go along with a wonderful St. Patrick’s Day story. [gmc_recipe 2498]

    Another Easy Valentine’s Day Treat

As promised here’s my new Valentine’s Day treat. Remember that day when I went searching for the candy conversation hearts at Publix and they laughed at me because it was too early – it was all about the Super Bowl? Then I had to use animal crackers in my cupcakes because I couldn’t find the conversation hearts… Well, that same day in the dollar section of Target I found little pink heart ice-cube trays. Why not? I brought them home to the…

My Halloween chocolate covered pretzels were a hit with the high school crowd so I decided to experiment for Valentine’s Day. I was very pleased with the results. The chocolate covered peanut butter pretzels shown above were Eric’s favorite. Basically all you need are pretzels, chocolate, parchment paper, candy decorations and creativity. It’s really easy. Melt the chocolate in the microwave and spoon it over the pretzels. Then decorate. One box of Bakers Semi – Sweet chocolate will be more than enough for one bag of pretzel sticks. (About 24 sticks)…

    Happy Thanksgiving!

Of course I am thankful for my family and friends but that’s too cliché. Here are some other things I’m thankful for. Thankful For List: Cameras – Taking pictures so when I’m old I can look back and say “Wow, look how young I looked – what happened?” … Okay, maybe not cameras. Chocolate – There’s nothing quite like the taste of chocolate. Chocolate brownies, chocolate strawberries, chocolate Toblerone, hot chocolate. I’d eat it every day if I could. But then I’d get cavities and gain ten pounds and have that sinking feeling of trying to zip up my jeans and realizing that no amount of jumping up and down or…
