    Eighteen years ago, one moment changed my life. I answered the phone at two am. and heard the words, “We’re worried about Arielle.” I thought my daughter was dying. It was the scariest moment of my life! Arielle is doing very well now; at the time, she was ten years old and had been in a car accident in Orlando. I was in Mexico. One choice to travel abroad without my children changed all of our lives. I learned to never take a moment of life for granted, and I also learned the importance of my choices.     Out Of Control

    One snowy day in Pennsylvania, my mother and I drove our dog, Zach, to the vet. I was a young teen and sat in the front seat with Zach on my lap. On our way down a hill, the car hit a patch of ice and began spinning and spinning. I screamed for the car to stop. The feeling of being completely out of control gripped me as tight as I frantically clutched the golden retriever. Suddenly the car jerked forward. It was over.  Although we had fallen into a ditch, we were all okay.
